  The Community's privacy on customerexperiencesinc.com
As a Trusted Site Member we expect the same level of trust and respect we show you in our relationship. This means respecting the thoughts and feelings of other Trusted Site Members and the information and knowledge to which you have access. This means observing and respecting the intellectual property of others and refraining from submitting inappropriate material that would not pass the "Prudent Person Test." It means being a good citizen of the community…a Trusted Site Member.
 
     
  What information do we gather?
Information on customerexperiencesinc.com is gathered in two ways: (1) indirectly (for example, through our site's technology); and (2) directly (for example, when you provide information on various pages of customerexperiencesinc.com.) For example, when you access customerexperiencesinc.com, your Internet address is automatically collected and is placed in our Internet access logs. This would be information we collect indirectly. Customer knowledge allows the site to help you solve problems and receive information germane to issues you have told us you need help with. To obtain customer knowledge, we will ask you directly for the information we need in order to facilitate a Totally Awesome Customer Experience on your behalf. This can come in the form of cookies, small files of information, which save and retrieve information about your visits to our site, how you entered our site, how you navigated through the site, and what information was of interest to you on the site. These cookies we will only be used to identify you merely as a Trusted Site Member. (If you are uncomfortable regarding cookies please let us know and disable cookies on your computer by changing the settings in preferences or options menu in your browser.) We obtain customer information when you voluntarily submit it to us. Throughout our site, we provide you opportunity to register as a Trusted Site Member, receive knowledge, order books and articles, participate in online surveys, etc. When we collect this type of customer information, we will notify you of the purposes for asking you for this information and state quite clearly how this information will be used on your behalf. It is completely up to you whether or not you want to provide it and to what level you want us to be able to deliver a Totally Awesome Customer Experience.
 
   
  How do we use this information?
Our goal in gathering information is to turn it into customer knowledge to help. Therefore we use the information we gather for three main purposes. The first purpose is to improve the customer experiences we can deliver to our Trusted Site Members. Secondly, we use it to determine what delights our Trusted Site Members about our site so we can always be improving it. The third way we use information is specific to the activities we have asked you to participate in requiring that information.
 
     
  Will we share personal, individual information with outside parties?
Your private, individual information will NEVER be sold to outside parties. It will always remain your private, individual information. There may be times when we need to share your individual information with other, for example, in the case of hosting a planned event for our community where we need to provide our host hotel with room preference information. But again, before we ask you to submit any information, we will always tell you why we are asking for that specific information. At the point of asking, it will be completely up to you whether or not you want to provide it.
 
   
  What about sensitive personal information?
Collecting certain types of demographic, psychographics and feelings information can be considered sensitive personal data. This data will also NEVER be shared with outside parties. This information will also never be collected without first seeking your complete permission and a statement of how the information will be used. We also ask that you refrain from providing us with unsolicited sensitive personal data, but in the event you do, the use of the information will treated in accordance with applicable laws and the statements made in this Privacy Statement. Sensitive personal information is generally comprised of personal identity numbers, personal data about personality and private life, racial or ethnic origin, nationality, political opinions, membership of political parties or movements, religious, philosophical or other similar beliefs, membership of a trade union or profession or trade association, physical or mental health, genetic code, addictions, sexual life, property matters or criminal record (including information about suspected criminal activities).
 
     
  Can you see your own information?
You are entitled to know whether we hold information about you and, if we do, to have access to that information and require it to be corrected if it is inaccurate. You can do this by logging into my CEI to view and edit your information.
 
   
  How do we physically protect your information?
We have taken appropriate steps to maintain a secure environment that holds your information on customerexperiencesinc.com. Every Trusted Site Member should understand that because of the open nature of the Internet, information must flow over networks without security measures as strict as ours and might be accessed and used by people other than those for whom the data is intended. The security of your personal information is our top priority. This means that your private information is encrypted during transmission and is unreadable by any third party while in transit. Look for a small lock icon at the bottom of your browser window and for "https://www.customerexperiencesinc.com..." in the address bar of your browser. These two items tell you that the connection is secure, and your information is safe.
